Description:
The Program Maxxum 2500 (D) flash is a simple, lightweight flash compatible with the latest Maxxum and DiMAGE series of digital cameras. The flash is switchable between ADI and TTL. To reduce influence from subject or background reflectance, ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) metering uses distance information from Minolta D series lenses with TTL (through the lens) metering to control the flash output. ADI feature is only possible when attached to the Maxxum 7, 5, 4, 3, DiMAGE A1, 7Hi, 7i, 7, 5, Z1 (or any newer models) and D lenses.

The 2500 (D) flash has a bounce flash head that can be tilted between 0° and 90°. This can be used to create soft, indirect lighting in interiors by reflecting the flash off the ceiling.

Fits all Maxxum cameras (a.k.a. Dynax), including digital models, except for the 7000, 8000, and 9000 non-"i" models.

Key Features

  • Bounce Flash
  • Flash head can be tilted between 0 - 90˚ (click-stop at 60˚)
  • Ratio Flash - 2:1 Ratio Flash is possible when linked with a 5600HS (D), 5400xi, 5400HS, or 5200i flash. The lighting ratio has to be set with the connected flash unit
  • AF Illuminator - Automatically activates in low light and low-contrast situations
